As passionately as I could, I started my adventurous journey into the kitchen, to bake myself something I could survive on. A treat. A gift. A medal, I was hoping it to be.
So I bought what was, in itself, a treat and a gift — A jar of Nutella. Now I wanted the medal. A cake baked using Nutella.
So I reached out to the best pâtisserie I’ve ever been to — Le15, on Instagram and it was kind enough of them to share a link to their Nutella Brownie’s recipe. I was stoked. I could already taste it in my mouth.
It took me exactly two hours to realise everything that I had done wrong, right when I tried slicing the nicely dressed dessert. It was hard as a brick. A brick of frozen butter perhaps.
ONE — I used Hershey’s chocolate sauce instead of cubes of dark chocolate. I think it became extremely sticky and chewy because of that.
TWO — Too much of butter.
THREE — I baked it for over 30 minutes. Why would I do that? Because it looked gooey because of the excess butter!
