Work Work Work …And Then Die.

Job is the rent we pay to live on this blue-turning-grey planet – Earth, somebody once said. Well, excluding the hyphenated word I added in between, of course. And we all know that when you transform your passionate hobby into a job, life is simpler than otherwise. But how many of you also agree with the fact that even if you do what you love for a living, at times, you do hate it. A little maybe. But why is that?

It’s because of the pressure and the deadlines at times but the most common reason for an employee to hate his job is because of his boss. The company might be amazing and so could be the co-workers but if the boss is a bitch, you will definitely end up hating followed by quitting your job. Unless you’re good at faking it. And I am talking from experience.

Another fact which a lot of us are unaware of is that our generation is quite impatient. It could be because we want too much too fast or because we take – YOLO (You Only Live Once) or Carpe Diem (Seize the day) too seriously. Whatever be the reason, I think it’s a good thing to be impatient. After all, you never know when you’re going to die so why waste your time saving money and sucking up to unworthy people. All you need in this world to live is a little belief, an understanding family, a couple of real friends and a lot of passion. These four things are enough to sail your boat to the ‘Happy Island’.

Also, some of us hesitate in refusing anything and everything. Be it a job offer or a drag to a movie you definitely didn’t want to see. Why can’t we not refuse without having to give an explanation?
So, whenever something unfair happens with you, take a deep breath, don’t spoil your positive aura and let Karma take care of the bitch. Because trust me, Karma spares no one. And don’t hesitate in dumping your stupid boss.

Anyway, this work look which I curated is a basic fusion of formal wear and quirkiness. Why only wear sober colours to work when you can experiment with lively hues and prints and still succeed to look formal. The black and white printed tube skirt is from ONLY and the yellow crop top is from Forever 21 which go very well with each other. The addition of pink pumps is the ultimate pop that summates the spark to look exceptional. These shoes are the most recent cast to my shoe wardrobe from ZARA. You could also throw in a scarf or a blazer depending on the weather preferences. For cooler places, stockings can save you from freezing and yet allow you to wear skirts, like you already know.
