When anybody all over the globe hears the word – September, dry leaves and cool breeze is what comes to their mind but that’s not the case in India. Here, the on-set of this month triggers only two thoughts. One – just three months are remaining for the year to end, what a quick year this has been? And two – the festive and wedding season is upon us! Starting with Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri and Diwali, the end of every year in India is a grand united celebration with music and lights. And in addition to this, most of the Indian weddings are organised in between the months of September and February. Seriously, does any one of you not have a wedding in yours or your friend’s family which you’re looking forward to attend this season? Every unmarried cousin in my family is either my age or younger to me so I don’t see a family wedding coming up any sooner but my school friend’s brother is getting married this coming February and I am damn excited about it. It’s going to be a destination wedding in Jaipur and my search for beautiful lehengas and jewellery is so on already!
One such collection that has caught my attention is the Anarkali suit assemblage at BIBA right now! It has pieces perfect for a general day out to rich ones apt for a wedding as well. The thing about Anarkalis is that they are a little more gracious than normal suits and kurtas. Think of a colour and a beautiful Anarkali in the same will be available at BIBA at the moment, I promise.
Here are some of my favourite ones;
This one is a stunner for Navratri, according to me. The shade of green is quirky and royal at the same time and the detailing gives it the right tinge of desi-ness. This piece is pure cotton.
The black and golden combo is personally my favourite when it comes to ethnic wear. It speaks class in the best way possible. Also, this one is a mixture of silk and cotton.
Have a Durga pujo to attend? Or not. This piece is absolutely beautiful for any occasion and woman. Again, cotton material which adds to it’s comfort.
This one is rose pink and off-white is so pretty for any event at a marriage. Especially, the Sangeet ceremony. Rest assured, you’ll definitely turn some heads!
Apart from the sober colours, this one in green and blue is so eye catching and peppy to stand out in a crowd. Also the wavy cut gives it a unique touch!
This brown georgette piece of subtle elegance is one design that will look great on a women of every age.

These are just a few of the entire collection at BIBA. Also, did I mention that they have an insane ongoing sale at present? Could the timing get any better? I’m definitely on an ethnic shopping spree already! Are you?
