A hot summer day, really strong pancake cravings and my oldest school friend’s 25th – We decided to have a luncheon at the adorable looking The Homemade Cafe in Andheri. It was a sudden plan and a random discovery that turned out so delicious that I’d be selfish to not tell you hungry humans about it.
We were starving because hello? Have you looked at The Homemade Cafe’s menu? I’d be stupid to have a heavy breakfast before a lunch like this. So we occupied the cutest corner and ordered for just two dishes to start with;
- Risotto Quattro Formaggi with added grilled mushrooms – The best Risotto I’ve had till date and I’ve had a lot of it.
- Grilled Cottage Cheese Steak with Spaghetti Pasta in Pimento Sauce – This was a first with a flavour I’ve never tasted before. A perfect amalgamation of spicy, sweet and tangy, with a side of boiled veggies.
- Watermelon Mint Juice – As good and simple as it can be.
- Virgin Mojito – If you’re in it for the mint, you’ll love this one.
Believe it or not, wiping these dishes off of the plates was a real unexpected challenge for the two of us but we managed. And as much as I was dying to have some pancakes or cheesecake, we just had to save it for later.
Anyhow, what I’m trying to tell you is that this cozy cafe is a culinary gem. And unlike me, please have dessert before the main course and care to tell me how you liked it! Let’s connect on Instagram if we haven’t already or write to me on firstname.lastname@example.org. Nothing makes me happier than knowing what to eat!
Until next time, Happy Poss-ing!
